the experts participating in the seminar were 19 people from the science and technology promotion center of the Ministry of water resources, China Three Gorges Project Development Corporation, Three Gorges technology and Economic Development Co., Ltd., Gezhouba Group Three Gorges headquarters, Qingyun water resources and hydropower joint venture, Three Gorges Project Supervision Center of Northwest Academy of engineering, Three Gorges Project Supervision Department of Yangtze River Water Resources Commission, and specially invited experts, professor level senior engineers Luo Chengguan and Professor Dong Biqin. the experts attending the meeting agreed that the three graded concrete pump will be widely used in the backfilling of diversion bottom outlet, concrete pouring of underground powerhouse, power station and other projects of the Three Gorges Project. Combined with the needs of western development and hydropower project construction and development, three graded concrete pump will have broad application prospects. In addition, experts also suggested to create conditions for further lengthening the horizontal and vertical haul distance tests to verify the scope of use of the three graded concrete pump; Continuously optimize the weight of the whole machine, and improve and optimize the concrete delivery pipe to facilitate assembly and disassembly. the development of the three graded concrete pump is a national major technical equipment development project jointly undertaken by Sany Heavy Industry and the Yangtze River survey, planning, design and Research Institute of the Yangtze River Water Resources Commission. Sany Heavy Industry completed the prototype manufacturing in December 2002 and conducted tests in four parts of the Three Gorges Project in July 2003. As of October 11, 2003, the improved prototype manufacturing of the three graded concrete pump has been completed, From August 29th, 2003 to mid October, 2003, 1246m3 three graded concrete was poured in four times. In the process that the test stroke of the three graded concrete pump is 600-1500mm, the owner, supervision unit, construction unit and relevant experts of the Three Gorges project have given great support, making the project proceed smoothly.
